Potter.

It is the little things in life that make my day a little better.
I put this directly above my craft table.

Pillow.

Lately I have been craving a new decorative pillow. Instead of buying one. I decided to reinvent one of the many plain tan pillows that my mother gave me earlier this year.
This upgrade was super easy, and super cheap.
All you need is:
1Pillow
1 Felt sheet
1 Needle
and some thread.
It took about 15 minutes, and it was the perfect addition to our bed!

January,

Well, January is practically over and to make sure that I follow through with my resolutions I am going to do a monthly check in. Here are the 5 resolutions that I made on January 1st:

1. Read more books. Now that I am out of school I can read the books that I never had time for. My goal is two a month.
2. Get outside more. Simple enough I just need to do it.
3. Eat healthier. More veggies. Less soda and junk.
4. Get active again. I need to find a fun way to stay in shape that wont drive me crazy.
5. Spend less money on small things. Spend more money on big things. (like trips!)

Here is my month end follow up for each item:
1. Done. I read 3.5 books this month.
2. I played in the snow a few times, and went on a few more walks. I could do a lot better.
3. I have been eating tons more veggies. I have cut soda out, except for when I am out to dinner.
4. Haven't improved here that much, except less sitting.
5.I bought a plane ticket if that counts for anything.
Mr.Nelson's post-lunch nap.

Bangs.

Well yet another snow day keeping me from work.
That means another day of being lazy and trying to do things I have been putting off.
This morning I finally loaded pictures into the digital picture frame that Dan gave me for Christmas.
 I came across this gem:
Would I be crazy if I said I missed having bangs?

Hearts.

I was digging through my craft bucket and found some felt and yarn.
Perfect opportunity for a little snow day craft.
I just made two little slices into each heart and threaded the yarn through it.
Perfect decoration for our bathroom door.

I've also been working on a crazy long cross stitch project, and I just finished up my first yarn wreath! Not sure what if I want to add anything on to it yet, but pictures will come once I figure it out!

About.

We went out Saturday night for our friend Katie's birthday. It was a huge gathering and it was so much fun to see so many people that I hadn't seen in awhile.
First we went to the Unicorn and after that we went to Neighbors to dance! I somehow ended up dancing with a man dressed head to toe in a one piece leather outfit. It was definitely a first!

Snow.

Snow is fantastic.
Unless you live near a mountain, on a huge hill about an hour away from your work.
Which I do.
Dan and I had a nice walk around the neighborhood to pick up some groceries.
Then when we got home I spent some time with my favorite kitty model.

I am glad my indoor kitty has such a beautiful view.

Slumber.

He is the cutest thing ever. Even when he wakes me up in the morning by biting my boob. Yes it really happened and I was too busy laughing to be upset.

Spend.

Remind me not to online shop late at night when I am tired.
Just ordered these two dresses.

I wish I could wear dresses everyday, and of course leggings.
Don't judge. I am a leggings lover.
These dresses were found on Modcloth!

Damned.

I saw the cover of this book on Dan's bedside table and was instantly curious. Dan has a great taste in books (Mr.English Major) so I downloaded it and went for it. It was a good book, very gross, very graphic, but a fun read. I didn't feel the need to read and study every word so it was a very easy read.

The story follows a girl named Madison who has died and has found her self in Hell. She really proves that situations are what you make of them.

Thenos.

Things are changing at my favorite home away from home so I thought I would do a post of my favorite Thenos Dairy memories.
LeRoy's world famous epiphany.
Sarah and I teaching Doug to do the "sorority squat".

Dressing up with Jeff and Libby at Midnite Madness!

Haley when she was just a little baby, and worker bee David in the background.

Our little "family". Haley looks so comfy.

Sandy and I. :)

This was taken two days ago at a Thenos Dairy reunion.

Sarah and I!

The notorious cow boots!

Some of the girls and I are thinking about getting Ice Cream cone tattoos or something to remember how fantastic our time here was.

Catnap.

I found Nelson sleeping in a sideways laundry basket.
Now that is some skillful balancing.

2012

This year started off with some time traveling to the 1960's. My brother's friend from highschool had a Man Men themed party, and I was thrilled that I could score an invite. Here are a few pictures courtesy of Holly!

What a great start to this new year!
